Dans la r\u00e9tine, l\u2019angiog\u00e9n\u00e8se implique une interaction entre les cellules endoth\u00e9liales et des types cellulaires locaux tels que les astrocytes ou les neurones. La croissance des vaisseaux y implique la migration des cellules endoth\u00e9liales sur un tapis d\u2019astrocytes, lesquels migrent aussi de fa\u00e7on polaris\u00e9e radiaire (depuis leur point d\u2019entr\u00e9e par le nerf optique vers la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie). Les deux \u00e9v\u00e9nements de migration sont coupl\u00e9s par des m\u00e9canismes connus impliquant des \u00e9changes de signaux r\u00e9gionalis\u00e9s entre astrocytes et cellules endoth\u00e9liales. Ainsi, toute perturbation de la migration des astrocytes interf\u00e8re \u00e9galement avec la progression angiog\u00e9nique dans la r\u00e9tine.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">L\u2019\u00e9quipe Helmbacher a identifi\u00e9 la cadh\u00e9rine Fat1 comme un nouveau r\u00e9gulateur de l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 vasculaire, et a entrepris d\u2019explorer les m\u00e9canismes sous-jacents.
