Julia Schaeffer<\/strong> est laur\u00e9ate du Prix 2024 des Grandes Avanc\u00e9es Fran\u00e7aises en Biologie de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des sciences. La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise du prix a eu lieu ce mardi 26 novembre sous la Coupole de l\u2019Institut de France. Ce prix r\u00e9compense ses travaux de post-doctorat r\u00e9alis\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019Institut des Neurosciences de Grenoble, au sein des \u00e9quipes de Homaira Nawabi et St\u00e9phane Belin. <\/p>

Dans ses recherches, Julia Schaeffer s\u2019est int\u00e9ress\u00e9e aux m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires et cellulaires qui r\u00e9gissent la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des neurones, ou plut\u00f4t leur incapacit\u00e9 dans le cas des neurones du cerveau et de la moelle \u00e9pini\u00e8re adulte qui sont incapables de repousser apr\u00e8s une l\u00e9sion. Son \u00e9tude a mis en \u00e9vidence le r\u00f4le fondamental du complexe traductionnel, responsable de la synth\u00e8se de prot\u00e9ines, dans la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des neurones. Ces r\u00e9sultats ouvrent un nouveau champ d\u2019\u00e9tude bas\u00e9 sur la manipulation de la traduction dans le but de reconnecter les circuits neuronaux dans le syst\u00e8me nerveux endommag\u00e9. <\/p>

C\u2019est dans le but d\u2019approfondir ce champ d\u2019\u00e9tude que Julia Schaeffer a lanc\u00e9 en Novembre 2024 son \u00e9quipe de recherche \u201cTraduction locale dans la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de l\u2019axone<\/a>\u201d \u00e0 l\u2019IBDM.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
