Des asym\u00e9tries droite-gauche existent au niveau mol\u00e9culaire et fonctionnel, cependant leur \u00e9tendue reste peu caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e. Dans cette \u00e9tude interdisciplinaire, l\u2019\u00e9quipe Bertrand, en collaboration avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe Villoutreix du MMG, a analys\u00e9 les m\u00e9canismes qui g\u00e9n\u00e8rent des projections axonales sym\u00e9triques dans l\u2019embryon de C. elegans. En combinant des analyses de donn\u00e9es de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age ARN en cellule unique et une approche candidat, ils ont identifi\u00e9 un programme mol\u00e9culaire asym\u00e9trique qui r\u00e9gule des axones pourtant sym\u00e9triques. Ce programme implique un facteur de transcription bHLH et deux mol\u00e9cules de guidage axonal en aval appartenant aux familles ephrin et Flamingo. Ces g\u00e8nes sont exprim\u00e9s asym\u00e9triquement dans le syst\u00e8me nerveux et r\u00e9gulent les projections axonales de mani\u00e8re asym\u00e9trique.<\/p><p><strong>Cette \u00e9tude identifie de nouvelles asym\u00e9tries droite-gauche au niveau mol\u00e9culaire dans le syst\u00e8me nerveux et r\u00e9v\u00e8le que m\u00eame des structures sym\u00e9triques peuvent \u00eatre g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es par des programmes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques de d\u00e9veloppement asym\u00e9triques.<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/39341445\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buyannemekh K., Villoutreix P. and Bertrand V.
