Des forces actives, souvent dues \u00e0 la contractilit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l&#8217;adh\u00e9sion des cellules, alimentent ces changements de forme. La mani\u00e8re dont ces forces sont orchestr\u00e9es dans l&#8217;espace et dans le temps pour former correctement les tissus est mal comprise. Dans cette \u00e9tude r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9e dans Developmental Cell, Claudio Collinet et Ana\u00efs Bailles, du groupe de Thomas Lecuit, se sont concentr\u00e9s sur une vague de contractilit\u00e9 de l&#8217;actomyosine et d&#8217;invagination des tissus, qui entra\u00eene l&#8217;extension de l&#8217;axe du corps embryonnaire de la drosophile, afin de comprendre comment la configuration g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des signaux m\u00e9caniques et la forme du tissu ont un impact sur la morphogen\u00e8se. Les auteurs ont zoom\u00e9 sur le processus en utilisant la microscopie \u00e0 imagerie en direct et ont d\u00e9couvert que la vague d&#8217;invagination des tissus \u00e9merge d&#8217;une s\u00e9quence orchestr\u00e9e d&#8217;interactions avec la membrane extra-embryonnaire qui enveloppe l&#8217;embryon, appel\u00e9e membrane vitelline. Les cellules adh\u00e8rent \u00e0 cette enveloppe, activent MyoII et s&#8217;en d\u00e9tachent en une vague. Collinet et al. identifient deux processus de r\u00e9troaction m\u00e9cano-chimique qui r\u00e9gulent la contractilit\u00e9 cellulaire. Ils d\u00e9couvrent \u00e9galement l&#8217;impact de la configuration g\u00e9om\u00e9trique du tissu sur les forces m\u00e9caniques impliqu\u00e9es dans l&#8217;invagination du tissu.
