Dans quelle mesure une jonction cellulaire se comporte-t-elle de mani\u00e8re similaire sous stress m\u00e9canique ? Cette question est int\u00e9ressante pour comprendre l&#8217;embryogen\u00e8se, o\u00f9 la mati\u00e8re vivante compos\u00e9e de cellules subit une s\u00e9rie de d\u00e9formations irr\u00e9versibles.   <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dans une \u00e9tude r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9e, <strong>Kenji Nishizawa, Claire Chard\u00e8s<\/strong> et <strong>Pierre-Fran\u00e7ois Lenne<\/strong> ont con\u00e7u un syst\u00e8me optique pour \u00e9tirer les jonctions cellulaires <em>in vivo,<\/em> au cours de l&#8217;embryogen\u00e8se pr\u00e9coce de la drosophile. L&#8217;id\u00e9e est de diviser un faisceau laser en deux faisceaux, d\u00e9plac\u00e9s s\u00e9par\u00e9ment pour produire deux pi\u00e8ges ind\u00e9pendants. Ces deux pi\u00e8ges optiques sont ensuite utilis\u00e9s pour soumettre les jonctions cellulaires \u00e0 une tension ou \u00e0 une compression. La m\u00e9thode est non invasive car les forces sont exerc\u00e9es directement sur le mat\u00e9riau endog\u00e8ne de la cellule, contrairement aux m\u00e9thodes alternatives qui reposent sur l&#8217;injection de billes. L\u2019\u00e9quipe de Lenne a fait appel aux th\u00e9oriciens Shao-Zhen Lin et Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Rupprecht du CPT, qui ont adapt\u00e9 un mod\u00e8le m\u00e9canique des assembl\u00e9es cellulaires appel\u00e9 mod\u00e8le de vertex. Le mod\u00e8le a montr\u00e9 que la longueur mesur\u00e9e de la jonction cellule-cellule ne pouvait s&#8217;expliquer que par une combinaison d&#8217;\u00e9longation visqueuse irr\u00e9versible et d&#8217;activation de Myosine-II lorsque la jonction \u00e9tait soumise \u00e0 une compression.
