pas de simples assemblages al\u00e9atoires de cellules sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es. Leurs fonctions particuli\u00e8res, qu&#8217;il s&#8217;agisse de l&#8217;\u00e9pith\u00e9lium qui s\u00e9pare l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur de l&#8217;ext\u00e9rieur, des muscles qui font bouger un appendice ou circuler le sang, ou du cerveau qui contr\u00f4le les mouvements et les comportements, sont le r\u00e9sultat d&#8217;une organisation hautement sp\u00e9cifique de diff\u00e9rents types de cellules. \u00c0 l&#8217;IBDM, nous voulons comprendre comment les cellules s&#8217;assemblent et travaillent ensemble pour former des organes capables de fonctions physiologiques que des cellules individuelles ne peuvent pas remplir. Nous explorons les principes sous-jacents qui guident l&#8217;organisation reproductible des tissus et des organes d&#8217;une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration \u00e0 l&#8217;autre. Nous \u00e9tudions combien et quelles cellules contribuent \u00e0 la fabrication des organes complexes comme le cerveau ou le c\u0153ur. Nous \u00e9tudions comment la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie des cellules et des tissus, et les forces m\u00e9caniques qu&#8217;ils produisent et re\u00e7oivent, sculptent progressivement les formes des organes. Nous nous int\u00e9ressons \u00e9galement aux m\u00e9canismes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui permettent aux cellules de coop\u00e9rer, et \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on dont l&#8217;\u00e9volution de ces m\u00e9canismes contribue \u00e0 la diversit\u00e9 du monde
